Rimmel – Pompous

I’ve saved my favourite lacquer of the week for last.  Mostly because it’s kinda like dessert.  And because, over the weekend, I want this to the first thing you guys see when you log onto You’ve Got Nail. 

Rimmel’s Pompous could be one the most beautiful lacquers ever made.  It could also be one of the cheapest.  Which, in my book, makes it a lacquer that everyone should have in their arsenal.

This is a stunning purple base with multi-coloured shimmer.  The formula is glorious (a genuine one-coater) and the quick dry formula means you’ll be done in around 2-3 minutes.  And, even though it’s a quick dry formula, you do have time to run the brush over the nail a couple of times before it starts to harden.

My only qualm, and I have this issue with all Rimmel lacquers, is the brush.  This is such a fat brush that I find it impossible to avoid lacquer dropping into my cuticles.  Rimmel needs to send its brushes to The Biggest Loser so that they can drop some weight stat.

    LOVE that polish. I think it’s dumb that it says it will be dry in 60 seconds though, and it’s really more like 2-3 minutes. I’m a new nail blogger and would love for you to follow my blog or put me on your sidebar or something!

    Looks so awesome on you! I have had this for ages but I only have used it as a base color for some purple glitters. Funny how I never noticed that it is so gorgeous on its own! Happy Weekend!

    I absolutely hate the brushes, mostly because they’re too fat for my nail beds. I think, in principal, they’re good. Just not for me. :-(

    I know quite a few people who love their brushes. They’re just way too fat for me, especially my little fingers. It’s literally twice the width of my diddy little finger. No bueno.
